Seminar Series

Translational Bioengineering Seminar

In the spring of their first year, students will attend a new monthly seminar series in Translational Bioengineering for Cancer Diagnostics and Therapeutics. Each seminar will be jointly presented by a clinical faculty member, a basic science faculty member, a public health faculty member and a bioengineering faculty member to integrate focused discussion of clinical cancer needs and epidemiology, advances in cancer biology, and new diagnostic and therapeutic technologies that build on these advances to meet clinical needs. The seminar will cover professional development issues related to translational research careers, journal clubs on emerging bioengineering cancer research topics, and research updates from second year Med-into-Grad students.

In their second year, students will help organize the seminar series.
